In response to the passing of Col. Dick Littlestone on May 15, the Pacific Palisades Residents Association President Jessica Rogers shared a letter that Littlestone had sent to the organization on May 13. He wrote:

Dear Jessica,
As a 49-year resident of the Palisades, working continuously for this community and the County, please include my name with your petition for incredibly dedicated Officer Redican to be our Palisades SLO.
Dick Littlestone
Colonel, U.S. Army, Retired

Rogers then shared that Littlestone’s passing was a “big loss for everyone.”

Also, resident Andrea Dyke of A Della Dress wrote: “We knew Dick Littlestone because he was a West Point graduate, like my son Sudsy … He was a real character — and inspiration.”

Mary Cole wrote, “Years ago I suggested Dick Littlestone for a Community Service Award and he won. He was so deserving.”
